So
he's finally going to resign. Took ya long enough. I know it's human
nature to survive even when all seems lost and this is a very powerful
position, but he was so guilty of everything he was accused of. He was
just causing himself further humiliation. I'm still upset over the fact
that he got this job as a reward for his contribution to the war in
Iraq.
Now
if Albert Gonzales doesn't quit soon I'm going to be upset. I was
disappointed with the choice to fire the prosecutors for political
reasons, but I didn't see it as illegal; just very distasteful. Now if
any of them were in the process of prosecuting a case where a prominent
Republican could be found guilty, to fire them would be obstruction of
justice, but I don't think that was the case. But after hearing this
subversive hospital visit to John Ashcroft, I want him gone. As much as
Hollywood may salivate over things like this, it's really shameful.
