CHINA
If
you've been following the slavery scandal in China, a lot of heads have
been cut off over this in a short period of time. People have lost
jobs, been sent to jail and now punishment is being handed out. Death sentence over China slave scandal
Why
I think this is news, I can't tell you, but the idea of 1,000 public
toilets anywhere makes me queasy. Here, they are spread out over 32,290
square feet and they are in funny shapes. A urinal that looks like a
Croc opening his mouth is childish, but funny. Several have a bust of
what looks like the Virgin Mary, but the Chinese are really into
Christianity, so what's up with that? AccessNorthGa.com: China Public Restroom Has 1,000 Stalls
-------------------DARFUR
On
his continuing trip through Africa, Nicholas Kristof writes in Op-Ed
about Roger Winter, the man Bush appointed to the U.S. Agency for
International Development, but ignored when he was warned about Darfur.

More
on Bush's actions/inactions regarding Darfur. I think we're on our 15th
threat to do something if they don't stop acting the fool. Spineless on Sudan - New York Times

MEXICO
Mexico isn't prepared to deal with an outbreak of HIV that migrants are bringing home from the U.S. Mexican Migrants Carry H.I.V. Home - New York Times. There's also an interesting multimedia piece on the movement of HIV cases throughout the country.

Sweden battles with its growing Muslim population. Sweden struggles to integrate Muslim immigrants.
How does a country so sexually....free is the best word I can think of
deal with a culture that is so sexually...not free? I guess that's
going to be the case anywhere except other Muslim countries.
