Illegal immigrants (NOT legal children of illegal immigrants) take up spots at universities all over the country that push out legal immigrants and Americans. If you have a kid looking to go to college, especially in a Southwestern state, you have to think about this. In addition to being charge in-state tuition no matter where they're coming from, illegal immigrants also use up the limited resources of financial aid (and getting more limited every year), which often gives them a free ride while American and legal immigrants end up having to take out student loans and graduate with enormous debt. Only an idiot would say that's fair, but it's not that simple. If you want to start denying something like education (the key to success for immigrants since the beginning of this country) to anyone, even if it seems legit, you better harvest your nuts, because it will pretty much be on. We'll have to see how far this bill gets.
