HE SAID IT

9.19.2007

Senator Larry "I am sooo not gay" said he was coming back and he finally did. He showed up on the Capitol yesterday, I guess out of nowhere. I thought he was already here, but apparently he was in hiding. I would love to see the cold shoulder this man is receiving. The article states that he was greeted warmly by some; probably the ones who are just happy they weren't caught soliciting sex in a public bathroom one of the times they did it.

He'll be around until the 30th unless he can get the charges, that he voluntarily confessed to, dropped. If he can't, he'll quit permanently. He also has the ACLU, friend to every conservative Republican senator, on his side. They are arguing that his bathroom bust was "unconstitutional." Personally, I think this guy was totally soliciting sex in the bathroom, but I have to say I'm not sure his odd behavior would have been enough to convict him. He made it easy on them by confessing to a lesser charge and that can mean a bunch of things; one being that he was guilty and feared what might come out if he went to trial. I'm not ready to ignore the 20+ year history of this man's rumored sexuality.
