I don't mean this link as any point against McCain as president because if Hillary gets the blue nod, I'm totally voting for him, but this piece of all the 4,000 dead in Iraq made up to look like him & Bush together is pretty amazing. 4,000 Dead in Iraq: A Visual Reminder / Stereohyped

You have to hand it to John. This dude just says what he wants. Instead of playing it safe as the Democratic candidates are doing, John says that this U.S. Welfare to stop the bleeding in housing is wrong. Irresponsible lenders and borrowers should not be saved. Interesting commentary on John McCain, the press, the Republicans who hate him and the rest of us. John McCain Wants You - New York Times "BEHIND any successful politician lies a usable contradiction, and John McCain’s is this: We love him (and occasionally hate him) for his stubborn individualism, yet his politics are best understood as a decade-long attack on the individual."

You thought the media favored Obama? Now watch how they treat John McCain. The Maverick and the Media - New York Times "IT is certainly no secret that Senator John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, is a darling of the news media. Reporters routinely attach “maverick,” “straight talker” and “patriot” to him like Homeric epithets. Chris Matthews of MSNBC has even called the press “McCain’s base” — a comment that Mr. McCain himself has jokingly reiterated. The mainstream news media by and large don’t cover Mr. McCain; they canonize him. Hence the moniker on liberal blogs: St. McCain."

The truth is that McCain is going to win this election. I know I'm being a pessimist, but all the news coming out is that Pro-Obamas will vote for McCain if Hills gets the nod (like me) and pro Clintons, in even greater numbers, will vote for McCain if Barry gets the nod. In addition, the more and more they fight with each other, the better McCain looks to Independents.
