The record ratings were well deserved. That opening ceremony was as close to perfection as any I've ever seen. I wouldn't have understood much of it without the NBC commentary, but it would have been amazing either way. I loved the drums in the beginning, but my favorite part was the Tai Chi sequence. How did they stay in line through all that running around? The shapes were perfect. And some of the dresses were absolutely beautiful.
